This Memorial Day weekend, we hosted our first ever Run for Cody Virtual 5K. We were blown away by the support we received from our community. 71 people chose to participate in the event, from across the country including states like Colorado and Florida. Additionally, 8 people signed up to fundraise for the Run for Cody and raised a combined $5750!
Everyone, whether they chose to run or fundraise, showed an incredible amount of support for our friends and neighbors throughout Montana living with cystic fibrosis. Their generous support helps us continue pushing forward towards our goal of reaching every family in Montana that has been touched by cystic fibrosis.
To thank our racers for their participation, we are working with our friends at Universal Athletics to print free race t-shirts. Racers outside of Gallatin County will have their shirts shipped to them, while those within the county will have the opportunity to pick theirs up. We can’t wait to thank these generous supporters!
We also had the opportunity to raffle off some prizes donated to us by our friends at Schnee’s and Scheels. Here are our winners:
Wylie Nelson won a $100 Scheels Gift Card.
Beth De Shazo won a free oil change from Farr Automotive.
Marni Nelson won a Duckworth Shirt.
Chase Hansen won a Duckworth Shirt.
Anise Jaffe won an Orange Schnee’s hat.
Stephanie Underwood won a Blue Schnee’s hat.
Lynae Axelson won a pair of high quality socks.
Tom Carney won a pair of Light Hiker crew socks.
Debbie Chilton won a pair of Duckworth Vapor athletic socks.
Krista Fastenau won a pair of merino wool Socks.
Kai Benson won a pair of running shoes.
Anuhea Benson won a pair of running shoes.
Of course, we also have to thank our sponsors, who took the plunge and supported us during our first ever Run for Cody Virtual 5K. These businesses continue to be important supporters of the cystic fibrosis community in Montana. Thank you everyone for a great Memorial Day weekend!
