We were shocked and saddened this week to learn that our co-founder George Dieruf passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021.
Servies for George will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at Grace Bible Church at 11 AM.
I have only known George personally for the last couple of years, but in that small amount of time, he left a huge impression on me. George was known as someone who in board meetings was quiet, but once he did have something to say the weight of his words would mark the direction taken. Like most of you, I could not believe the news of his passing when I heard it. We were just chatting about MSU football a week ago. He will be watching the semifinal this weekend from the best seats.
How can someone so strong and present be gone so quickly? I do believe it was how he wished it would be.
Gifts can be given in honor of George’s memory to our newly board established “Dieruf Family Legacy Fund”. The Cody Dieruf Foundation’s board has chosen to allocate $100,000 to begin with. This amount, along with any additional donations to the fund, will be placed in an interest-bearing account that will help ensure George & Ginny’s work is around for generations to come.
