Ginny and I (Pam) were privileged to meet with Dr. Baker and Steven Schellong with Microbion Corporation, and hear about the exciting work their company is doing for those who live with cystic fibrosis (CF). Microbion is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing a novel class of microbial bioenergetic inhibitors for the treatment of resistant and difficult to treat infections.
This could mean very exciting news for the CF community who are vulnerable to bacterial infections. Dr. Baker and his team are very excited about the possibilities this research could lead them toward.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle recently did a story about Microbion and the grant monies they have been awarded to further their research. You can read it here.
It always lifts our spirits when we see others who are passionate about helping those who live with cystic fibrosis. We really enjoyed our visit with Dr. Baker and Mr. Schellong and look forward to continuing conversations about how to further help those who live with CF.
