Bozeman, MT – The Cody Dieruf Benefit Foundation, a non-profit organization serving those living with cystic fibrosis, has expanded its REC & FIT Scholarship and Medical Assistance Programs statewide. Previously, these programs were available to those living in Southwestern Montana.

Pam Western, the Executive Director of the Cody Dieruf Foundation, said “We knew it was time to take this step and help everyone in Montana who is living with cystic fibrosis.  The challenge for us now is getting the word out and letting people know these programs are available.”

The REC & FIT Scholarship helps cover fitness related expenses, such as sports registrations and exercise equipment, while the Medical Assistance Program helps with healthcare related expenses not covered by insurance, like copays and travel costs. The Cody Dieruf Foundation also has a third program, an annual retreat for the mothers of children living with cystic fibrosis titled “We Walk Together,” that has always been available statewide.

All Cody Dieruf Foundation programs are available to apply for, regardless of financial need. The only requirements are that the applicant must be diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and be a resident of Montana or any of the Tribal Nations within Montana’s border.
